Activities

Game

We love entertainment in the old school way where people come closer together and shun away from the TV and Video games. There are plenty of board games available at the camp for you to engage with your family and friends. We also have a badminton court coming up where you can enjoy a game of badminton.

Game Drives

The main attraction of the land is of course to go out on a game drive and explore the wildlife population that thrives in Mara. Olgatuni has unlimited game drives for you and well-equipped vehicles for the same, which are driven by experienced Maasai guides who know the place like the back of their hand! Not only does this ensure your safety, but it also ascertains that you visit the best places to spot the Big Five, wildebeest migration and much more.

Sundowner

One of the biggest highlights of a Maasai Mara holiday is a sundowner in the evenings, wherein you’ll enjoy a spread of drinks, beverages, and nibbles while sitting on a hilltop overlooking the horizon, amidst the gentle evening rays of the sun slowly retiring for the night. The picturesqueness of this moment is unbelievably beautiful as you feel yourself transcending into a surreal realm, where Nature and you are brushing against one another.

Bush Breakfast

An unparalleled experience of brunching amongst the wilderness awaits you at Olgatuni. The Maasais are excellent cooks as well, and they specialize in a variety of cuisines to cater to your tastes. You’re taken to a lush breakfast spread a little away from your tent, where you are served a delicious meal while you take in the morning sun and the rhythmic chirping of birds around you. This could be also by the river, where you have Hippos and Crocs as your neighbors for breakfast while maintaining a safe distance.

Masai Village Visit

Thanks to Olgatuni being managed by local Maasais, a wonderful part of the Mara experience is a visit to a Maasai village. Here, you can interact with the Maasais and listen to their folklore and tales of Maasai bravery, admire and buy their handmade artisan jewelry and other souvenirs, understand their daily lives and livelihoods and how the culture and traditions of the Maasai have continued to thrive in the world of globalization and commercialization.

Hot Air Balloon Safaris

There can be nothing more spectacular than launching at sunrise and floating effortlessly in a hot air balloon over the Masai Mara game reserve. From a blissful height of joy, you will admire spans of savannahs and wildlife beneath. If lucky, you may spot a big cat or two stalking on its prey in the ground beneath you.

Hear them speak about their childhood experience of surviving with the Lions, or about Big Cat behavior or learn recognizing sounds of different animals from them.

Bird Watching

Olgatuni is perfect for birdwatching enthusiasts, since the land is swamped with a vast variety of avian species. We have recorded over 35 species of birds in the camp, including the Turrito, Little bee eater, superb starling, blue eared starling etc. Ask one of our staff for a bird watching guide, who can take you around the campus and show you our avian visitors. Your guide also identifies the bird species for you and helps with your checklist if you are a regular bird watcher.
